The Church of the Resurrection (or “The Rez,” as we like to call it) has called the Woodbine and Danforth area of Toronto-East York home since 1912. Through the years, we have seen our neighbourhood surroundings change from farms to apartment buildings as our community has become more urban.
We’ve changed through the years just like our neighbourhood, but today we’re a growing community of people excited about what God is doing among us. People of many different backgrounds comprise our congregation as we seek to follow Jesus together. Some have grown up in another denomination or style of church. Some have not grown up in the church, while others have been coming to The Rez their whole lives. We’re grateful to be a multi-generational “family” church that seems to be near bursting at the seams with kids.
